The course begins by exploring the psychology of creativity and the cognitive processes behind idea generation. Learners will understand how the human mind works in terms of problem-solving, associative thinking, and divergent thinking. By recognizing the mental blocks and biases that hinder creativity, students are trained to adopt strategies that break these barriers and unlock their imaginative potential.
A core part of this course is introducing practical methods for generating ideas systematically. Techniques such as brainstorming, mind mapping, SCAMPER (Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to another use, Eliminate, Rearrange), and the six thinking hats method are explained in depth. Learners will practice these methods in both individual and group settings to experience firsthand how structured creativity can enhance problem-solving. The course also emphasizes lateral thinking, encouraging participants to approach challenges from unconventional angles and uncover ideas that may be overlooked in routine thinking patterns.
